The Skidompha Second Hand Book Store offers a variety of previously owned books for your reading enjoyment. Make your way through this funky shop to find books about every subject imaginable. This is a treasure trove for serious and not-so-serious readers, filled to the rafters with books that should be read many times more than once. There are fiction and nonfiction hardbacks and paperbacks, magazines, encyclopedias, dictionaries, matched sets of beautiful old books, first editions, rare books, books for mystery fans, children, cooks, gardeners, and on and on And why not consider donating some of your older titles to a good cause? Earnings from sales of second-hand books go directly to the library's operating budget. Open from 10 to 4, Monday through Friday and from 10 to 1 on Saturdays, the Second Hand Book Shop is staffed by Library volunteers who can answer your questions and direct you through the shop, once a 19th century carriage house. Surely the book you want is hidden here. And, your search for it will be as much fun as finding it!
