Step 2: The Search Results Page

Your search results will be displayed in the center of the screen. There are two ways you can organize and manipulate your results to further refine your search.

  • Refine Your Search: On the right side of the window there are several options you can use to narrow down your search. These options include:
    • Selecting different state(s)
    • Changing the zip code and altering the mile radius for your zipcode search
    • Limiting sales displayed to a defined date range
    • Limiting sales displayed by sale size
    • Including or excluding book stores in the results
  • Organize your results: You can click on the top row of the search results to organize them by title, location, size, date, and distance (for zipcode search). For example, clicking on Size will organize your results by sale size in ascending order; clicking Size again will organize your results in descending order. So if you want to know what the largest sale is in your results, you can quickly find out.

Step 3: Viewing Detailed Sale Information

When you find a sale on the search results page that you would like to review in greater detail, simply click on the sale title and you will be taken to the detailed information page.

The detailed description area has a number of new features for you to take advantage of.

  • Sale Info:This area includes contact information, Sale size, and payment methods for the sale. Our newest feature gives you the ability to view and print directions. This feature is found below the address of the sale.
  • Description:This area gives libraries the option to provide additional detail about their sale. This is often used by libraries to describe sale rules, book types, and other special prices/events that they may have.
  • Sale Dates:This area displays all the dates and hours for the sale. If you have created an account, you can click on the small calendar icon below the date to save it to your calendar.
  • Map:This area displays the location of the sale on a map.
  • Social Media Sharing:This area gives you the ability to share the sale with your friends on Facebook, Digg, Twitter, or Myspace. You also have the option to email or print the sale.
